
Katie Perry has over 15 years of sales and marketing, operations,
systems development and strategic management experience in emerging
growth companies within the consumer product, engineering services
and medical device industries. Most of her experience has been
in building companies in their early stage of development. Her
strengths include the ability to effectively manage clients, refine
a projects strategic direction as appropriate, accomplish
key objectives on time and on budget, and efficiently manage projects
tactical implementation.
Her current role at Pinchot & Company is one of marketing
and sales. At Pacific Consultants LLC, an engineering consulting
firm whose primary business is in the areas of electronic product
development and medical device development, Katie served as the
Director of New Business Development. Having joined PCLLC as one
of 8 people with revenues of 1 million, she helped to grow the
company to 45 people with revenues of 20 million within three
years.
Prior to PCLLC, Katie worked with The Beta Group, a business engineering
and technology applications company. The company was developed
as an incubator for product development focusing on the creation
of proprietary technology primarily in the area of medical devices.
Her responsibilities ranged from idea generation, prototype development,
market research, budgets, project management, marketing, packaging.
In addition, she assisted in creating and building the following
subsidiary companies:
Beta Development was created to move promising technologies from
idea stage to prototyping for feasibility testing and, further,
to finished products. Three specific products in development were:
1) NiTi golf clubs, 2) eyeglass frames, and 3) medical devices.
The golf club technology is currently licensed to PING and is
being sold direct under the name PIXL. The eyeglass frame worldwide
patents were sold to a large distributor in the US and are now
distributed under the name FLEXON. Nitinol Devices & Components,
a manufacturing plant developed for prototyping and product development
of shape memory alloy medical products, was sold to Johnson &
Johnson.
Launching Katies career was her experience at Vail Associates.
She served as a marketing representative responsible for managing
and conducting Focus on Vail marketing meetings to
large groups of tourists and travel agents. She also served as
a contract ski instructor & trainer. Katie taught individuals
and groups of all levels to ski, designed curriculum for training
new employees and skill development, and hired and trained new
ski instructors. She is fully certified in the areas of communication,
teaching, technical ski knowledge and skiing ability. Katie was
also elected to the Management Task Force responsible for employee
and management relations.
Katie received a BA from Northern Arizona University.
